Review of last group work

  1. Given the function \(f(x) = x^2\) OVER THE INTERVAL [-2,4]

Col right   BMCOL

  • “Over the interval” defines the domain of \(f(x)\) \pause
  • Domain: the \(x\) values that \(f\) will “eat” \pause
  • So
  • First: \(g(x)\) shifts \(f(x)\) right by 2, up by 1 \pause
  • Second: \pause
    1. \(f(x)\) only eats things in \([-2,4]\) \pause
    2. when \(g(x)\) eats \(x\) change so it feeds \(f\) in \([-2,4]\) \pause
